Administer by slow intravenous injection or subcutaneous injection high on the neck.
Intravenous administration is recommended for treatment of acute conditions. When administered subcutaneously, divide the dose over several injection sites to minimize local reactions. Do not inject more than 60 mL per site.
Cattle: 250 mL per 500 kg of body weight. Repeat treatment in a few hours as required, or as recommended by a veterinarian.
When administering the product, aseptic techniques should be used. The solution should be warmed to body temperature and administered slowly and to effect, with monitoring of the animal during administration. In cases where an accelerated respiratory rate or heart rate is observed during treatment, the administration should be stopped until these vital signs return to an acceptable rate, at which time the injection can be continued. Subcutaneous administration can cause a local tissue reaction at the injection site that may result in trim loss of edible tissue at slaughter.
Administer only if the solution is clear. Discard partially used vials.
